BOTTOMS

The Ask

Get people to the theater, and get them talking. Bottoms is an unhinged, satirical dark comedy about two unpopular queer best friends who start a fight club to hook up with cheerleaders, and the goal was to build awareness and community and rally fans to crown it the comedy of the year.

The Campaign:

We made fans feel seen, especially women under 25 and the LGBTQ+ community, with a tone that matched the movie: raunchy, awkward, outrageous, inclusive, and funny. It was social-first from the start, built on a clipping strategy, character supercuts, and a lot of high school nostalgia, absurdity, and satire. Recruiting Bottoms (and tops) isn’t as easy as it looks, but we made it a safe space to laugh, ugly cry, and share whatever fans wanted with us.

BESPOKE SHOOT: queer YODAS REACT

For the Bottoms premiere, we needed a big, splashy edit that showed this movie isn’t just for the young queer community; it’s for anyone who has survived the battles of high school. So we sat down with a group of “Queer Yodas” (if you’ve seen Bottoms, you get it), who know those battles all too well. We had them react to select scenes, share their advice, and invite the audience to go see the film.

This was one of the first bespoke content captures I helped take from concept to completion, contributing to the concept, storyboarding, pre-production decks, and final footage review before bringing the long-form YouTube edit across the finish line, alongside cutdowns for social.

BESPOKE AVS

To match the tone of our fight club, with its chaotic energy and sharp comedic edge, we built our AVs the same way. Each of these three examples represents one of our content buckets.

BEST BITS

We pulled the clips we knew our audience would love, then added dynamic native subs so every punchline landed.

Choose Your Fighter

A character series spotlighting each member of the cast, which I led by directing the graphics with our design team, selecting the clips, and publishing each post.

TUNE IN

Our tune-in posts, from “Coming Soon” to “Now Playing,” were short, punchy edits that leaned into the film’s high-energy side or its comedy.

STATIC GRAPHICS

I led the creative direction and content strategy for Bottoms’ static graphics, shaping a look and feel as chaotic and unapologetic as the movie itself. From reactive moments and quote cards to fan reviews, tune-in posts, and one-off graphics, each content bucket was designed to keep the conversation going and get more people in theaters.
